Garnet Valley Grad to Serve as College Marshal at Penn State’s Upcoming Commencement

Chadds Ford native Laura Santangelo, a graduate of Garnet Valley High School, has been named college marshal for the Penn State College of Health and Human Development, writes Marjorie Miller for Penn State News.

Santangelo, who will graduate with a health policy and administration degree, will serve as college marshal at the Dec. 15 commencement ceremony.

Santangelo earned much recognition as a student at Penn State, having received the President’s Freshman Award and Evan Pugh Senior Scholar Award. She was also a member of her college’s honor society.

Her extracurricular activities include membership in her college’s Women’s Leadership Initiative, Student Advisory Board, and Student Council.

Santangelo is now planning to pursue a career in senior living and aging services.
