The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth installment of the Women in Leadership series on Friday, Dec. 14 from 7:30-9:30 AM at the Drexelbrook Special Events Center.

The topic of this installment will be Mentorship. The chamber has spoken with various members regarding the topic of mentorship and the specific benefits it brings to a company. Small and large businesses alike both referenced the quality a relationship between a mentor and mentee brings to certain areas of a business.

Mentorship is a difficult topic for some businesses to weave into a workplace because each mentor-mentee relationship is not “one size fits all” and it can be challenging to create a constructive relationship.

The chamber invites members of the business community to learn more from local professionals who have benefited from this type of program and who have implemented successful programs in their workplace.

The panel includes:

  • Donna M. Stillwell, Senior Manager at Brinker, Simpson & Co.
  • Kristen McCabe, Manager at Brinker, Simpson & Co.
  • Rachel Wilner, Regional Vice President for Delaware & Chester County at TD Bank
  • Carla Krieman, Senior Vice President and PANJ Treasury Management District Sales Manager at TD Bank

“We are honored to continue the Women in Leadership, a series that provides input from strong women professionals in Delaware County about topics that impact everyone in the workplace,” said Trish McFarland, President of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. “Mentorship plays an incredible role in the workplace, and we are proud to have Donna, Kristen, Rachel, and Carla speak to our membership about their experiences with it.”

Following the panel, Dena Lefkowitz, Professional Executive Coach from Achievement By Design, will lead a discussion and provide tips about how to have the initial conversation about mentorship.
