The Philadelphia Union is a professional soccer team based in Chester that has competed in Major League Soccer as a member of the Eastern Conference since its formation in 2010. The Union recently unveiled its first mascot: Phang.

Team Publicist

This position generates and pitches creative story ideas for local and national media outlets and official team channels; forms relationships with media members to develop opportunities to grow the team’s brand; and creates unique PR-worthy media stunts that draw news coverage.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a minimum of three years of experience in media relations, pitching, and story placing in the Philadelphia market; and knowledge of soccer and MLS, including experience working in a professional sports locker room setting.

Manager, Philadelphia Union Foundation & Community Relations

This position serves as the face of team community relations internally and externally; ideates, budgets, and executes community platforms and programs that drive brand awareness; and leads foundation projects by brainstorming, organizing, planning, and executing programming and fundraising.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in communications, business, sports management, or a related discipline; three to five years of experience in community relations management and charitable fundraising; and a strong marketing background.

Junior Graphic Designer

This position uses Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to generate designs for use on social media, websites, and printed materials; proofs all materials in an accurate manner; and delivers high-quality, timely, and error-free drafts.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and one to three years of related experience with a sports and entertainment entity; proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign; and exceptional communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
