Girls’ Night Out – a night of celebration with friends, fashion, and food to raise money to benefit women with cancer in Delaware County – exceeded expectations this year with 650 women attending the sold-out event last week at the Springfield Country Club.

Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres while bidding on raffle baskets and silent auction items. During dinner, there was dancing entertainment, a fashion show with the latest fashions by Bedazzled Boutique, and a live auction.

Since the event’s inception in 1999, more than $600,000 has been raised to help women with cancer focus on getting well. The financial impact of having cancer often causes additional stress and limits options.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from Girls’ Night Out are used to pay for Delaware County women to receive treatments not covered by insurance or to provide basic life needs, such as rent, food, and transportation to treatments.

The Foundation for Delaware County, one of 780 community foundations across the U.S and the largest philanthropy serving Delaware County, manages the Helping Women With Cancer Fund.
