For the second consecutive year, Cabrini University’s education and business departments have received the College of Distinction award for their quality, writes Melissa Casey for the Loquitur, the school’s student newspaper.
The national award recognizes colleges or universities for academic excellence in their departments.
“The College of Distinction award made me realize how hard the professors of the business department work to help students majoring in business achieve their goals they have set and become stronger in their own ways,” said Giancarlo Gomes, a marketing major at Cabrini.
The award will provide a boost for the students for when they start applying for jobs in their field.
The award also helps both departments by putting them on the map for high school seniors or juniors interested in pursuing a degree in either field.
“When we have our name put out there, and when someone wants to be a teacher, they will look for this school of distinction for undergraduate and graduate degree,” said Dr. Beverly Bryde, dean of the education department.
