Delaware County is home to one of the Top 25 Most Diverse Places to Live in the Philadelphia Area, as East Lansdowne, a borough with a population of 2,661, checked in at No. 14 on a newly published list by Niche.com, writes Clara Lefton for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The rankings provide a comprehensive assessment of the overall diversity of an area. They take into account key indicators of a location’s demographic composition, including the levels of variance in race, age, and income levels among residents.

The overwhelming majority of the Top 25 Most Diverse Places to Live in the Philadelphia Area are either neighborhoods in Philadelphia or suburbs in New Jersey.

Hatfield, a borough in Montgomery County, placed 16th, while Coatesville, the lone city in Chester County, ranked 21st.

Norristown, the county seat of Montgomery County, checked in at No. 3.
