Lightbridge Academy, an educational child care center for ages six weeks to kindergarten, has opened in Garnet Valley, writes Peg DeGrassa in the Daily Times.

The center, at 1363 Naamans Creek Road, is operated by Concord residents John and Beatrice Minnebo. John teaches European business and other courses at Temple University’s Fox School of Business, while Beatrice holds a degree in science and biology and teaches French at a Garnet Valley School District enrichment program. The couple has three children who went through the Garnet Valley schools, with one child still at the high School.

Lightbridge Academy, takes a holistic approach to child development, consisting of comprehensive education, core values, and a “Circle of Care” philosophy, in which each child is at the center of a circle surrounded by their parents, teachers and staff, the owners, and the community.

The center also features advanced technology. Parents will have the ability to watch, and even interact with, their children throughout the day through the use of their mobile phone, iPad, or computer.
