Anton Dell’Orefice, the owner of Concord Township’s Delightful Detail, is one of the winners of SCORE’s 2018 Small Business Achievement Award, writes Rich Schwartzman for Chadds Ford Live.

Dell’Orefice, a member of the Chadds Ford Business Association and Western Delaware County Business Professionals Association, approached SCORE, the nonprofit that provides mentoring services to new and small businesses, to help with his decade-old business.

“SCORE gives you the ability to talk to someone,” said Dell’Orefice.

Dell’Orefice discussed how he bought an embroidery machine and quit his job 11 days before his first child was born.

His mentor, John Ralston, spoke about their first meeting several years later, when the business was run from the family’s basement.
