Assistant Dean

The Assistant Dean assists the Dean of Workforce Development and Community Education in the instructional, administrative, personnel, and fiscal operations of the Division, acts as the Division decision maker in the absence of the Dean and support the Division’s directors with the Division’s recruitment, hiring, course staffing, supervision, staff development, evaluation and resolution of student concerns.

The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree in an appropriate technology, adult education, higher education administration discipline; Doctorate preferred; Teaching experience, preferably at least 5 years at the community college level; Demonstrated administrative experience, preferably at least 3 years and at a community college; Technical education experience, credit and non-credit preferred; Evidence of effective communication, organizational, and leadership skills; Commitment to the community college philosophy and student centered learning.

Career Development Specialist (Part-time)

The Career Development Specialist provides vocational and transferable skills assessment, career counseling, group learning experiences and referrals to partner and community agencies for the purpose of assisting members of the public with their effort to obtain entry or re-entry into the workforce.

The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree in Counseling or related field with emphasis on assessment and career guidance; Experience working with adults in transition or with barriers to employment; Excellent group presentation, facilitation and individual counseling skills; Practical knowledge of employment assessment tools and their application.

Graphic Design and Production Specialist

The Graphic Design and Production Specialist is responsible for the graphic design, production and delivery of marketing materials and working collaboratively with other team members, internal clients and external vendors to develop strong creative solutions to marketing and communications needs.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor degree, preferably in Graphic Design or related field; minimum five years of experience in an agency, design studio, higher education setting or private industry; computer skill set that includes desktop proficiency with the Macintosh operating system and software programs including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Experience in graphic design, photo retouching, publication layout, print production and mass mailings.
