Gwynedd Mercy University has appointed Jennifer Ginnetti as Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer.

Ginnetti had been filling the role on an interim basis since December when the prior CFO left to take a similar position at a larger university.

Ginnetti joined GMercyU in 2014 as the Controller and was promoted to Associate Vice President for Finance and then Senior Associate Vice President for Finance and Deputy CFO. She brings more than 25 years of experience to the position, including 14 years in the private sector.

“The GMercyU community is delighted to have Jenn lead our finance and administration area,” said GMercyU President Deanne D’Emilio. “Her deep understanding of our university’s finances, clear commitment to our Mercy mission, and focus on helping us achieve our vision of becoming the Catholic university leader in professional and healthcare education make her an outstanding choice for this role. I know she has the strategic financial planning expertise needed to lead us forward during a very exciting time in our history.”

Ginnetti will continue to play an integral financial support role in the completion of the new Frances M. Maguire ’55 Healthcare Innovation Center, which is set to open this fall. She also oversaw financial aspects of the recent renovation of interior and exterior residential living spaces, the complete renovation of the Frank O. Genuardi Legends Fields baseball and softball complex, and the addition of new dining options on campus. This summer, she will partner with other university stakeholders on the renovation of the gymnasium and the introduction of new campus store options.

“I am honored to lead the finance and administration teams at GMercyU,” said Ginnetti. “They are a very talented group of people who share my commitment to our Mercy mission and to meeting the needs of students and employees from many different backgrounds and experiences. I have watched the university grow and change over the past decade and am excited to be a part of our future.”

Ginnetti, a Certified Public Accountant, has an MBA in Corporate Finance from Lehigh University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Loyola University Maryland.
