Local filmmakers Jeff Ayars and Omri Dorani are hoping to make Media the background for their new horror movie, This Is Our Home, writes Peg DeGrassa for Delaware County News Network.

The pair knows the neighborhood inside-out. Ayars is a native of Media and graduate of Penncrest High School and Cornell University, while Dorani grew up in nearby Lower Merion. He graduated from Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy and the Art Institute of California.

They met seven years ago on a project that was directed by Dorani.

“We clicked immediately,” said Dorani. “We both had the same creative perspective on life.”

The co-creators needed people to visit the Seed and Spark film page and hit the “follow” button to help them get support from Duplass Brothers Productions, which will contribute up to $25,000 to the five feature film projects that get the most support.

The winners will be announced on Nov. 1.
