Wawa had its Florida supply teams working around the clock to keep its stores supplied with essentials and fuel in preparation for Hurricane Irma, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Delaware County-based chain has a major presence in the Sunshine State, with more than 100 stores there.

Wawa’s fuel team worked diligently to refill supplies as quickly as they ran out, including bringing in resources from the company’s mid-Atlantic market.

Wawa put a priority on its stores along the state’s most-trafficked roads and highways to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply for the evacuation routes.
