A recently compiled list by Niche.com highlights the best places to buy a home in Greater Philadelphia this spring. Nether Providence Township, where this home is on the market and located at 108 Sycamore Lane in Wallingford, made the cut.

Spring is here, and with the change in season, people often take some time to consider the benefits of moving into a new home, according to a staff report for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

To help with this, Niche.com has a compiled a list of the best places to buy a home in Greater Philadelphia. It was created by analyzing factors such as the average price to purchase or rent a home, family friendliness, public schools, nightlife, and crime.

Two Delco towns made this year’s list. The first is Nether Providence Township, with its population of 13,773 and median home value of $317,300. It’s closely followed by Haverford Township, with its population of 48,804 and a median home value of $301,700.

Home ownership is also a priority there, as between 85 and 90 percent of the residents of these townships own their own homes.
