Spring is here, and with the change in season, people often take some time to consider the benefits of moving into a new home, according to a staff report for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
To help with this, Niche.com has a compiled a list of the best places to buy a home in Greater Philadelphia. It was created by analyzing factors such as the average price to purchase or rent a home, family friendliness, public schools, nightlife, and crime.
Two Delco towns made this year’s list. The first is Nether Providence Township, with its population of 13,773 and median home value of $317,300. It’s closely followed by Haverford Township, with its population of 48,804 and a median home value of $301,700.
Home ownership is also a priority there, as between 85 and 90 percent of the residents of these townships own their own homes.
