Axalta – the worldwide supplier of liquid and powder coatings that has its North American headquarters in Glen Mills – has announced that Marshall Auto Body in Wisconsin is the winner of its inaugural Sustainable Star Award.

The award recognizes refinish customers in North America that implement sustainable initiatives that benefit the bottom line and help preserve the environment. Marshall Auto Body won the award for its work on installing energy-efficient equipment, motion sensors, and timing controls.

The business uses an Axalta paint and dryer system that dries paint in 53 seconds, reducing gas consumption by more than 70 percent. Also, Marshall Auto Body has installed three complimentary electric vehicle chargers, while its workshop roof has 10,000 square feet of solar panels that provide more than half of its electricity.

“We congratulate Marshall Auto Body for its achievements and commitment to sustainability,” said Mike Carr, Axalta President. “The owners and employees of Marshall embrace sustainable practices and demonstrate how they can have a positive impact on business.”
