Supportive Delaware County residents are already starting to form the front lines of Pennsylvania’s Annual Walk for the Wounded and Warriors 5K Run in Media on May 20.

Sponsors are signing on and teams signing up to help Operation First Response meet the needs of the tens of thousands of wounded warriors and alleviate the significant financial and emotional challenges their families face.

That Saturday morning in May will center around Rose Tree Park and feature a 5K run, an opening ceremony, the 10th annual 3-mile Walk for the Wounded, and a live performance by Bucket List. Of the proceeds, more than 97 percent will go directly to helping wounded American troops and their families.

Sponsorship opportunities are available with exposure through logo recognition, marketing, and advertising, as well as thank-you ads in the Walk for the Wounded Dedication Booklet, some of which will be sent to wounded soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
