Kristin Weldon Peri

Cake artist Kristin Weldon Peri of Glen Mills won Philadelphia’s “Let Them Eat Cake” competition for her Most Artistic design.

The competition featured specially designed cakes drawing from bakers and cake artists across the Philadelphia area in the theme of “A Variety of Childhood Fun & Fantasy,” which benefitted Variety – The Children’s Charity.

The Variety charity enriches the lives of children and young adults with intellectual disabilities through social, educational, and vocational programs that nurture independence and self-confidence, and prepare them for life.

“Variety is a wonderful organization,” said Weldon Peri. “Knowing that the proceeds of this event benefit Variety makes the win even sweeter.”

Weldon Peri’s cake featured a storybook castle-in-the-sky.

After appearing on two Food Network competitions and being featured in multiple media venues, Weldon Peri rebranded from Divine Cakes. Now, she just uses her name, Kristin Weldon Peri.

Due to the incredible amount of time and attention Weldon Peri devotes to her work, she limits the number of orders she accepts. Her focus is always on high quality, low quantity. Her goal is consistent: to create edible works of art that look fabulous and taste amazing.
