He’s a legal “pit bull,” a staunch supporter of college education, a mentor, a community leader, and a savior for Cheyney University.

Tucker Law Group Founder Joe H. Tucker Jr., Esq. was the man behind the unexpected resurgence of Cheyney University through its historic legal fight against the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education over racial discrimination, according to a report in The Philadelphia Tribune by Michael Coard.

Tucker, the man leading the largest black-owned law firm on the East Coast, came to Cheyney’s rescue when it was “on the verge of shutting down in 2013,” and his pre-trial heroics a year ago “resulted in Cheyney not only being saved from death, but also getting an opportunity to become bigger, better, and blacker.”
