Residents of Garnet Valley have an average disposable income of $101,999 each year.

Delaware County offers its residents a wealth of opportunities, and one of them is the opportunity for wealth itself.

Eight local communities enjoy an average disposable income that numbers in the six figures per household, according to data from Esri cited in a Philadelphia Business Journal report.

That’s a significant share of the top 50 communities within the 11-county, Greater Philadelphia area.

“Extra money in your pocket could mean treating yourself to a late morning coffee or saving up for a family getaway,” the article stated.

Leading the way for Delaware County with the most money left after taxes are three Top 10 places: No. 3 Villanova at $155,290, No. 7 Thornton at $134,479, and No. 10 Cheyney at $126,286.

Other qualifiers include No. 18 Chadds Ford at $116,419, No. 20 Haverford at $115,628, No. 28 Wayne at $109,277, No. 42 Newtown Square at $103,637, and No. 43 Garnet Valley at $101,999.
