Qlik’s First-Quarter Revenue Increases 15 Percent from Last Year

Qlik Technologies, a Radnor software company and leader in visual analytics, has announced its first-quarter financial results, and they include a total revenue of $138.0 million, a 15 percent increase from last year’s first quarter.

“We are capitalizing on our growing market opportunity and the rising awareness for analytics and self-service visualization across all the customer segments we serve,” said Lars Björk, Qlik’s CEO.

Other financial highlights from the first quarter include license revenue of $59.8 million, an increase of nine percent from $54.8 million last year.

Also, cash and cash equivalents as of March 31, 2016 were $370.0 million compared to $320.1 million at December 31, 2015. Net cash provided by operating activities was $41.7 million for the first quarter of 2016, as compared to $36.0 million for the first quarter of 2015.

Qlik added new key customers during the quarter, including the Australian Department of Employment, Dealogic, ENN (China) Gas Investment Co., Ltd., The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, HPM Building Supply, iCare, Nissan Motor India, and SunKist Growers.

The company also expanded numerous customer engagements globally, including Albany Medical Center, Jefferson Health System, Melbourne Health, Polycom, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Queensland Audit Office, Saint-Gobain Information Systems GmbH, Samsung Electronics, and Vancouver International Airport.
