The U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard has ranked the nation’s colleges and universities by the median salary earned by alumni – who received financial aid – 10 years after they first began taking classes at the school.
Here’s how Delaware County’s institutions of higher learning stack up:

- Haverford College – $56,600
- Widener University – $52,900
- Swarthmore College – $48,500
- Rosemont College – $47,800
- Penn State Brandywine – $47,700
- Eastern University – $41,300
- Cabrini University – $40,900
- Valley Forge Military College (Wayne) – $40,500
- Neumann University – $39,500
- Delaware County Community College – $34,600
- Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (Media) – $33,400
- Cheyney University – $29,500
- Brightwood Career Institute (Broomall) – $29,300
The national average is approximately $34,600.All of Penn State’s campuses – main and branches – were lumped together in the study.
