Disney dancer Sam Sinns fulfilled a lifelong dream when he opened the new, unique dance studio Twirl in Newtown Square at the end of September, writes Peg DeGrassa for Delaware County News Network.

Sinns started dancing at 16 when he secured a spot in the Disney Christmas Parade after a spur-of-the-moment audition, and has never looked back. When he decided to open his own dance studio, Sinns and his wife Amy found the perfect spot at 3544 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square.

“We chose Newtown Square, because it just seemed like a really nice neighborhood,” said Sinns.

While the emphasis is put on Sinn’s Broadway and musical dance experience, Twirl also offers jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatic, and hip-hop dance. In addition, the studio offers a unique program of dance scholarships that enable a boy of any age to enroll in one class for a year for free.

This is his way of “encouraging the next generation of guys, who might be interested in this really cool and athletic art form, to forget about what other people might think. And dance.”
