Faux Food Trucks Pull Up to the Curb for Philadelphia Union Matches
The food truck scene outside of Chester’s Talen Energy Stadium has just moved inside for the enjoyment of Philadelphia Union soccer fans this season.
As of last Saturday, a pair of food truck favorites are permanently pulled up to the curb of the Union stadium’s busy concourse, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report by Michael Klein.
The faux food trucks are painted around concession windows serving fresh-out-of-Wisconsin-tasting fried cheese curds, beer brats, and smoky beer cheese pretzel rolls from The Cow and the Curd, as well as barbecue-laden smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and wings courtesy of Baby Blues BBQ.
“I thought it was a natural,” said Linda Reche, Spectra by Comcast Spectacor Regional Vice President, after The Cow and the Curd’s Rob Mitchell pitched the idea for the benefit of the Union faithful.
