Twenty-seven-years-old Martha King, who works at her parent’s Chadds Ford Tree Service, has lumberjacking skills few people can rival, writes Rich Schwartzman for Chadds Ford Live.

She uses the knowledge and experience that can only come from growing up around trees to compete in lumberjack championships worldwide.

King recently competed in her fifth Lumberjack World Championship in Hayward, Wisconsin. Prior to that, she won first place during last year’s championship in Paris.

“I came out on top. That was pretty good.”
