The collaboration was initiated six months ago, when Major League Soccer and Mitchell & Ness approached Sons of Ben president Ami Rivera with a partnership proposal.
“This is not an opportunity that has ever come along before; it’s not a company that we thought would ever really reach out to the soccer community” said Rivera. “To highlight us and recognize our importance in the soccer world and in supporters’ group culture is a cool venture.”
The new merchandise line includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and scarves. The themes are evenly split between the Union and Sons of Ben logos and the well-known “Join or Die” snake motif.
The new merchandise line will only be available for sale at the Talen Energy Stadium store in Chester and at Mitchell & Ness’s flagship store located at 12th and Chestnut Streets.
