Several new businesses will be coming to Delaware County over the next 18 months, including the popular country-style eatery Cracker Barrel, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Delaware County News Network.
Cracker Barrel’s location in the Ridley Square Center has already been approved, with construction beginning either later this fall or in early spring. The opening is planned for this time next year.
Construction is also underway on the new Ridley branch of Bank of America, at the corner of Morton Avenue and MacDade Boulevard, while two new stores, ShopRite and Lowe’s in 352 Plaza, should open next month.
The Shoppes at Brookhaven on the other side of 352 will see several new stores in December, including a new Giant supermarket, Starbucks, and L.A. Fitness.
Meanwhile, Media has Mexican restaurant Hidalgo opening this month, along with Tom’s Dim Sum, the authentic Chinese-Shanghainese restaurant across from the Armory.
Finally, Burlap and Bean, the family-owned-and-operated coffeehouse, is opening a second location on West Baltimore Avenue in Media.
