A part of the Delaware County community since 1971, Oliver Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical is celebrating 45 years of successful business, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Delaware County News Network.

The idea for the company came to Joe Oliver when he was facing unemployment from Boeing’s Helicopter Division, so he decided to take the plunge and Oliver Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical was born.

Since then, the business has flourished, growing into a company that now employs more than 200 people and offers heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, indoor air quality, and home remodeling services to clients in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.

The business has also become a family affair as three of Joe’s sons work for the company. David works in Residential Sales, Bill is the Foreman of the Sheet Metal Shop, and John, who works as a teacher, spends his time during the summers working as a Warehouse Assistant.

The Morton-based company has received several awards over the years and, most recently, was recognized with the 2016 Small Business Award by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce for its exceptional business practices and community involvement.
