109 New Cases of COVID-19 Reported Monday in Delaware County, Cases Now Total 10,966

There were 109 new cases of COVID-19 reported Monday, Sept. 14 for Delaware County since cases were last reported Saturday. Total number of cases is now 10,966, according to the Chester County Health Department.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in the county, with the total remaining at 780.

Of those, 604 were in long term care facilities and personal care homes, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.

COVID-19 fatalities have now been reported in 40 of the county’s 49 municipalities.

Yeadon Borough continues to have the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus, though it has not reported new cases in several days. It has 527 cases, affecting 4.59 percent of its 11,471 population.

Upper Darby has the most cases reported, at 1,729, affecting 2.08 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.

The list includes which communities saw an increase in cases based on previously unassigned cases and new cases since Friday, Sept. 11, the last date these statistics were updated.

There are 293 cases still under investigation, to which no municipality has yet been assigned.

The county has had 96,184 people test negative for the virus. The health department is reporting an 82.9 percent recovery rate.

  • 10 to 19: 788 cases (up 26)
  • 20 to 29: 1,879 cases (up 37)
  • 30 to 39: 1,497 cases (up 6)
  • 40 to 49: 1,427 cases (up 12)
  • 50 to 59: 1,694 cases (up 16)
  • 60 to 69: 1,355 cases (up 10)
  • 70 to 79: 830 cases (up 3)
  • 80 and over: 1,284 cases (up 2)

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, Sept. 14, that there were 1,182new cases of COVID-19 across the state since statistics were last reported Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 145063.

There were 32 new deaths reported statewide as of Monday, Sept. 14, with the total deaths list at 7,869
