Admissions Counselor

This position will manage all activities related to prospective students, applicants, school districts, and colleges from a specific territory/population. He/she will maintain frequent telephone, email, written and personal contact with prospective students, families, and school personnel. The person will conduct interviews and information sessions for all populations, and when appropriate, give tours of campus.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have at least one year of experience in admissions or professional experience in marketing/sales. He/she should have the ability to positively interact with diverse groups of students, parents, guidance counselors, and college personnel. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Multicultural Recruiter of Partnerships

This position will manage all activities related to diverse prospective students, applicants, school districts, and colleges from a specific territory/population. He/she will attend regional and national multicultural college fairs, host minority groups on campus. The person will spend extensive time developing and maintain relationships with multicultural constituency groups both on and off campus.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, and have at least one year of experience in admissions or professional experience in marketing/sales. He/she must speak Spanish fluently. Outstanding organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to consistently meet deadlines and handle information confidentially.

Coordinator of the Writing Center

This position will organize the operations of the Writing Center (WC). He/she will supervise the professional and student staff, teach writing-intensive classes, and provide direct service to undergraduate and graduate students through one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction. In addition, the Coordinator will maintain records, write reports, develop teaching materials, and build face-to-face and online resources to support the development of a very active center.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Across the Disciplines, or related field. He/she must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience with online teaching and tutoring is preferred, as is experience with TutorTrac software.
