Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

The position is responsible for high-level financial and analytical analysis for the various sales channels and marketing reporting initiatives within the U.S. It involves quarterly reporting, presentations to management, leadership responsibilities, customer profitability analysis, data mining, and market segment alignment and analysis. This role also involves direct engagement with the sales and market segment leaders to ensure consistency and quality in the various financial processes and reports.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business/finance with a focus on heavily quantitative/analytical work experience and/or coursework. Seven or more years of relevant work experience is required. He/she should have exceptionally strong analytical skills and the ability to thoroughly leverage computer systems and related tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of both financial and data analyses.

Financial Analyst

Daily activities for this position include the creation and distribution of daily sales information, internal reporting, including monthly financial close, monthly metrics creation/publication as well as quarterly analytics. The position would also support the annual budgeting process in terms of quarterly forecasting/modeling, reporting, and other adhoc analyses. He/she will provide analyses and insight related to business trends and forecasts.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field, and have a minimum of two to four years of accounting experience. He/she should understand Accrual Accounting, and have experience in the manufacturing industry. MS Access, including Forms (Read/Write SQL), experience is preferred.

Staff Accountant

This position prepares and completes journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance to budget analysis necessary for the completion of the financial statements related to the activities of Airgas Merchant, Carbonic, and Specialty Gases. He/she will work directly with “Field” Management to understand financial results, and prepare necessary accruals and deferrals.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and have a minimum of two to four years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software products is required, while familiarity with Oracle/SAP is preferred.
