The CEOs of a pair of Delaware County companies were ranked among the nation’s Top 50 leaders of large firms, according to an analysis of more than two million employee reviews submitted to the popular recruiting site Glassdoor Inc.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Corey Schiller and Asher Raphael, co-CEOs of the Chester-based Power Home Remodeling Group, checked in at 25. Bill McDermott, the CEO of SAP, the German software giant whose American headquarters are in Newtown Square, came in two slots later.

Both CEOs were given a 94 percent approval rating.

A minimum of 100 respondents were needed in order for a CEO to make the list.

Seven of the 10 most popular chief executives lead tech firms, including Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook and Tim Cook at Apple. However, Ultimate Software Group’s founder and chief, Scott Scherr, outranked both as the highest-rated tech leader. He came in at No. 2 overall.

According to the Journal, Scherr said that having control over his cloud-computing company from its founding has allowed him to put employees first, even when the firm faced rocky spells.

At times, Scherr and his management team forewent equity compensation so that Ultimate could avoid layoffs and maintain generous health-insurance and retirement benefits for staff, as well as other perks, such as free baby clothes for new parents, he said.

“In very tough times, the balance sheet was weak, we were losing money. We never choked,” said Scherr.
