Not only is Traditions of America ranked fourth among the Top 10 fastest-growing private builders in America, it is also the smallest company to make the list, writes Kayla Devon of Builder magazine.
Traditions of America focuses on the development of award-winning Lifestyle Communities and building the finest low-maintenance homes for people age 55 and older. The company also cracked Builder magazine’s Top 100 builders in the country, checking in at 96.
Traditions saw a 45.38 percent increase of closings from 2014, when it closed 260 units, to 2015, when it closed 378 units.
According to Devon, the economy is looking up and in many markets more consumers are finally buying homes again. Last year brought opportunity for home builders, and several pounced on the prospect to grow their business.
Of the Top 10 builders that grew the fastest in terms of closings last year, a majority were mid-size firms that creeped up the list.
In January, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) named Traditions of America the “55+ Builder of the Year,” as it took home a total of nine awards for marketing, design, and lifestyle excellence in the nation’s most prestigious active adult housing awards competition.
“It is an honor to be recognized once again for exceeding the expectations of 55-and-over homebuyers,” Tim McCarthy, Managing Partner, said earlier in the year. “Achieving ‘Best Builder’ was a true team effort, requiring excellence from all parts of the Traditions of America organization, and we couldn’t be more proud of our employees.”
