Ongoing experiments to find a buyer for Radnor lab supplier VWR have finally produced a proposed $6.4 billion sale to Avantor.

Manager – Clinical Trial Project Management

This position is responsible for driving clinical-trial-related ancillary/equipment supply and kitting service sales. He/she will provide effective management support to close and implement new opportunities and manage existing business in a growing service area in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The person will also manage price negotiation and quoting process for clinical trial supplies and services.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and have five years of demonstrated business experience, preferably in customer service or procurement related to healthcare industry and/or clinical trials. He/she will have five years of decision-making experience, and have basic accounting skills.

Senior Accountant

This position includes journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, expense trending analyses, and memos. He/she will analyze ongoing processes within areas of responsibility to identify and implement process improvements to make the close process more efficient and data more easily accessible. The person will also perform ad-hoc analyses and requests, including special projects that are financial and economic in nature.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and have an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and corporate accounting policies and procedures. SAP knowledge is preferred, but is generally acquired through on-the-job training.

Manager – Customer Development

This position will seek out new service opportunities and sell VWR Services to new customers within geographic region. He/she will train Services Directors, Area Managers, and Supervisors on identifying sales opportunities and customer-centric selling techniques. The person will also develop programs and selling strategies to motivate sales force and stimulate sales.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field, and have at least 12 years of experience (five in a leadership role). Successful sales experience is preferred. He/she should have experience in establishing high-level customer relationships.
