Aston’s 2SP Brewing Company Listed Among Best in Region

In honor of the Craft Brewers Conference that was held in Philadelphia this week, writer Bryan Kolesar of Communities Digital News has compiled a list of the best brewers in the area.
“Let’s say you’re visiting Philly (maybe for the first time) and don’t necessarily want the crowds of a popular beer event showcasing out-of-state breweries,” wrote Kolesar. “If you’re looking for some of the best that Philadelphia and the greater metropolitan region is brewing, let this be your guide.”
In his list of the best beer in the suburbs, Kolesar noted The 2SP Brewing Company in Aston.
“Head brewer Bob Barrar is one of Iron Hill’s alumni,” wrote Kolesar. “After many years of winning awards, particularly for his Russian Imperial Stout (RIS), Barrar helped the Two Stones Pub (two locations in Delaware and one in Pennsylvania) open the ambitious brewery project called 2SP in Delaware County south of Philadelphia International Airport.
“The Baby Bob is a junior version of the RIS and is worth seeking out a couple glassfuls of, as are the Pattina Saison, Bellcracker Double IPA, and DelCo Lager.”
The 2SP Brewing Company’s mission is to bring world-class beers from world-class brewers to this region. According to its website, “drinking our beer won’t enhance beard growth or make you a rebel and unique. We know as well as you, when it comes to beer and hype: Believe Nothing. Try Everything.”
