The Norwegian Jewel recently set sail on its inaugural cruise from Philadelphia’s PhilaPort Cruise Terminal, bringing passengers from the city to Bermuda.
The voyage marked the first departure from the port in 15 years, and guests were treated to a luxury experience, as reported in a video from Todd of AlongForTheJourney on YouTube.
Construction is still underway at the port, located just next door to the Philadelphia International Airport, but the cruise itself is an unforgettable time.
After boarding and getting settled in their suites, guests can begin their exploration of the ship.
According to Norwegian Cruise Line’s website, the Jewel boasts a variety of attractions, including the Vibe Beach Club, Spinnaker Lounge, Magnum’s Champagne and Wine Bar, and Cagney’s Steakhouse.
A casino, arcade, spa and salon, cigar lounge, and basketball and tennis courts are also available to enjoy, the website states.
On its first voyage, guests were able to enjoy an expansive buffet, featuring a range of delicious desserts, salads, and entrees.
As the Norwegian Jewel began its journey, the top deck provided stunning views of the city and the river, alongside access to the pools.
A new ship, the Norwegian Pearl, is coming to the port later this year, providing another option for those in the region looking to take a trip.
