For over 100 years, Charles B. Gans Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning has served Delaware County, the Main Line, and beyond.

It all began in 1926, when Charlie Sr. and his wife Ethel started the business out of their one-car garage in Havertown. While Charlie handled the work, Ethel ran the books — and together, they built a company rooted in hard work, family, and community.

As the business grew, the second generation, their sons Charlie Jr. and Donald, alongside Charlie Jr.’s wife Maryann, carried that legacy forward. With the help of dedicated team members like Mike Murphy (still with the company today), the business has continued to grow under third-generation leadership: granddaughters Dara Gans, Tami Dale, and Brian Murphy, Mike’s son.

For a century, the company has built lasting relationships with its customers while creating a workplace where employees are treated like family.

From the very beginning, giving back has been at the heart of the company’s mission by supporting neighbors, local organizations, and community projects.

100 YEARS. 3 GENERATIONS. 1 COMMUNITY.
