Doylestown native and acrobatic pop star Pink was recently announced as the host for the 2026 Tony Awards, which will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall, writes Rosa Cartagena for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
“Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together — it is a community that is supportive, and inclusive, and full of talent and love,” said Pink in a statement.
While the Grammy Award-winning singer hasn’t made a Broadway appearance, two of her songs are featured in the soundtracks of current productions. Her hit “Raise Your Glass” appears in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, while “F**kin’ Perfect” plays in & Juliet.
The singer’s daughter, Willow Sage Hart, has expressed her own Broadway aspirations, and Pink was quick to ask for her opinion on the hosting role. Pink said Hart was eager to get tickets, and the singer can’t wait for the opportunity.
“We are thrilled to welcome the incomparable P!NK as the host of this year’s Tony Awards — a fearless artist whose powerhouse voice, electrifying stage presence, and undeniable authenticity embody the very spirit of live performance and theatre,” said this year’s Tony Awards executive producers Raj Kapoor, Jack Sussman, and Sarah Levine Hall in a statement.
