Delaware Valley University recently welcomed graduate Matthew Riddick, founder of The Riddick Foundation, as this spring’s Watson Executive in Residence (WEIR). Introducing Riddick at the event was this semester’s WEIR scholarship recipient, sophomore Michael Brunelli.

“The Watson Executive in Residence program is a hallmark of our business department here at DelVal,” said Dr. Tanya Casas, Dean of the School of Business, Arts, and Science. “It not only provides an opportunity for our students to meet with professionals like Matthew Riddick, but it also honors the outstanding legacy of Dr. Thomas W. Watson (Class of 1957) and his unwavering support for the university’s educational mission.”

During the WEIR event, Riddick explored the power of taking ownership of your career journey and staying adaptable in an ever-changing business landscape, while providing valuable insight and advice to DelVal students, faculty, and staff.

“Begin with the end in mind, but the end is only the beginning,” he said.

Riddick is an accomplished, award-winning corporate and philanthropic leader. He transferred to DelVal after receiving his associate degree from Montgomery County Community College through the core-to-core agreement between MCCC and DelVal. With more than 15 years of healthcare business experience, he is a four-time Forty Under 40 honoree recognized by Lehigh Valley Business magazine, VISTA Today, and Entrepreneurs Herald magazine, as well as the Marquis Who’s Who.
