Some Say This Wawa Snack Rivals What the Local Pizzeria Offers

Wawa's garlic knots have received some positive reviews, but not everyone is on board.

A treat you might normally associate with a pizza shop actually ranks high among Wawa’s food offerings: the garlic knots, writes Austin Havens-Bown for Mashed.

In a Mashed ranking, the garlic knots took second in a Wawa food ranking, outflanked only by the chain’s All-American Cheeseburger.

The garlic knots are described as tasting like freshly-baked pizza crust. The garlic is evenly spread throughout the knots and perfectly buttered.

“Sometimes, simplicity is best, and Wawa hit the spot with this snack, especially when you can’t make it to your pizza spot or Italian-American restaurant to satisfy your craving,” Havens-Brown writes.

Food favorites tend to be subjective, so one publication’s review may not jibe with your own. But the garlic knots also do well on Wawa’s Reddit page.

Fans there also think they’re good, but not quite as good as the ones you would get from a pizzeria.

Other comments don’t think the garlic knots are worth it, while still others say they can be improved with some sprucing up at home.

The garlic knots come in a  two-pack for $3.79 or three for $4.29. You can also add a side of Wawa’s cheddar cheese dipping sauce to your order.
