Wawa or Sheetz? Who Comes Out Ahead for Best Made-to-Order Food?

Wawa's delivery of high-quality, made-to-order food has allowed it to pick up customers from other quick-service franchises.

In the battle of Sheetz vs. Wawa, who has the best made-to-order food, asks Chelsea Falin for the Daily Meal.

The Sheetz made-to-order menu has a lot of choices, most with quirky names that have a “z” at the end.

Wawa’s made-to-order menu is also extensive, ranging from hoagies and bowls to salads and burgers. Soups, sides, frozen coffees, healthy drink options, wraps, and more fill out the menu’s offerings.

Wawa is better for hoagies, hands down, whether it’s the front-runner Italian hoagie or the seasonal favorite Gobbler.

Sheetz is the fried food king, in sheer volume alone, whether it’s mozzarella sticks, French toast sticks, wings, chicken strips, onion petals, macaroni and cheese bites, or stuffed tater tots.

Sheetz also wins the battle for customization, with lots of personal options in your food preparation.

For the health-conscious, Wawa is the better choice. Wawa’s got salads, no-bun hoagies, wraps, protein-packed bowls, and a menu section on balanced choices. There are healthier drinks as well, including protein smoothies, refreshers, rechargers, and immunity smoothies.

In the end, the best made-to-order chain comes down to what you’re looking for.

Sheetz offers significantly more customization
