St. Patrick’s Day Guinness Flows at These Delaware County Irish Pubs

Here are some Irish pub favorites for this St. Patrick's Day.

With St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching, people all over Delaware County will be seeking out their favorite Irish pubs for some Guinness, Irish food, and live music.

Here’s a few Delaware County pubs that made a recommended list by Anne E. Hill at Main Line Today.

Monaghan’s Irish Pub in Essington has wings, sliders, and flatbread on the menu. The pub’s been renovated, so now there’s a granite U-shaped bar for up to 35 people and an outside covered patio.

Paddy Rooney’s Pub in Havertown has traditional Irish fare, TVs with Irish sports like Gaelic football, hurling, or the Glasgow Celtics. There’s traditional Irish music on the first Monday of every month.

Roache & O’Brien in Haverford has been popular with the locals since 1933. The historic bar, originally opened by John J. O’Brien and Tim Roache, keeps the atmosphere casual. Buffalo wings and onion rings accompany the Guinness.

The Yard Pub in Havertown has Guinness, of course, but also many other beers on draft. You can also try the Bavarian pretzels, fried pickles, French dip sandwiches, traditional fish and chips, and chicken and waffles.
