Docuseries Goes Behind the Scenes at Cobbs Creek Golf Course

Construction taking place at Cobbs Creek Golf Course in April 2025.

Justin Tupper has always been fascinated by the history and architecture of golf.

With restoration underway at the Cobbs Creek Golf Course in Philadelphia and Upper Darby,  he’s been able to explore both in a new documentary that looks at the history of the course, what’s happening now, and where it’s going.

The Golf Channel premiered part one of “Cobbs Creek Rising: Headwaters to Horizon,” on June 17, writes Ariel Simpson for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The docuseries is covering the renovation over the next two years.

Part two will debut on GolfPass in 2026, looking at the construction and restoration of the course.

Part three is scheduled for early 2027, when the 18-hole championship course is set to open.

The docuseries examines the $150 million restoration that will not only revive the course but will make it a destination for learning.

“I started to dig into Cobbs Creek and the story and the history of it, and that’s just when I really fell in love with this story because it was so much more than just moving dirt,” said Tupper, “The history of the place made it really fascinating.”
