Drink Hacks, Secret Menus and More Enhance the Wawa Experience

These tips can help you uncover the lesser known aspects of the Wawa experience.

Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong regular, there are a few things everyone should know to make the most of a trip to Wawa, the region’s favorite convenience store, writes Robin Miller for the Tasting Table.

Touchscreen kiosks make ordering a breeze, whether you want hoagies, sandwiches, wraps, bowls, salads, soups, quesadillas, burgers, or pizza. Be prepared, as the menu is large and regulars do not like to wait long.

Treat the drinks menu like a blank canvas: mix vitamins, protein, caffeine, and more with milkshakes and smoothies, or combine hot drinks with various add-ins to craft your perfect beverage.

Do not miss the signature sandwiches and snacks at checkout, where heated rack stations are stocked with hot, grab-and-go breakfast sandwiches known as Sizzli.

A wide selection of grab-and-go nutritious snacks, like fresh grapes, makes it easy to fuel up on the go.

Most people overlook the flying goose in the lower left corner of kiosks, but pressing it unlocks a secret menu filled with limited specialty items unavailable on the main menu.

To truly fit in, avoid blocking the counter after ordering, take advantage of the app by placing your order ahead of time, and always hold the door for the person behind you.
