Olympic Curling Victories so Far for Broomall Native Taylor Anderson-Heide

Olympian Taylor Anderson-Heide from Broomall launches a stone in a curling competition at the 2026 Winter Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

Olympian Taylor Anderson-Heide, who hails from Broomall, is doing well so far as a member of the Team USA Women’s Curling team.

Anderson-Heide, who serves as lead on Team Peterson, gained an 8-4 win with her team over South Korea on Thursday morning at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, writes Siobhan McGirl for NBC 10 Philadelphia.

The 30-year-old and her team also beat Canada 9-8 for the first time in Olympic history and now go up against Japan, scheduled this afternoon.

Anderson-Heide continues to credit her family and her father for her success. One of five girls, her sisters, and her parents were in Cortina to watch her play.

From age 4, Taylor Anderson-Heide spent time on the ice with her father at the Philadelphia Curling Club in Paoli.

“I love that curling club,” she said. “I fell in love with the sport there, and watching my sisters play really got me into the sport.”

Anderson-Heide said she is proud to be her father’s representative on the world stage, which is why she is identified as Anderson-Heide.

“I’m married, but I kept Anderson on my back because my dad and my mom are the reason I’m there.”
