Independence Blue Cross has announced its 2026 commercial health plan portfolios for large (51-plus employees) and small (2-50) employers headquartered in southeastern Pennsylvania.

IBX portfolios feature medical, pharmacy, specialty services, behavioral health, and wellness benefits that support the whole health of employees and their families. These benefits are available upon renewal for fully insured and self-funded groups effective Jan. 1, 2026.

“In an ever-changing healthcare market, our IBX business clients rely on us to provide innovative solutions that address rising cost trends while offering a simple, personal experience for their employees,” said Susan Larkin, IBX’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. “We are continuously honing our portfolios to meet the needs of businesses of every size, industry, and budget, while addressing the physical and behavioral health needs of individuals and their families.”

IBX has a longstanding history of offering the strongest network of doctors and hospitals, providing the highest quality of care, and helping to support whole-person health.

For 2026, new IBX large and small client offerings include:

  • Enhanced behavioral healthcare network and services that make it easier for members to quickly be connected to high-quality care by matching them with the right in-network providers to support their specific needs and scheduling them an appointment in as quickly as one to two days.
  • Updated activities for the Achieve Well-Being Rewards program, where members can earn financial rewards for building healthy habits throughout the year.
  • Expanded prescription and specialty drug programs:
    • Broadened 90-day retail benefit provides more options for members to receive their maintenance medications via home delivery/mail or at specified pharmacies — all at the same cost-share.
    • HelpScript cost-share assistance program offers $0 cost-share on over 200 medical specialty drugs.
    • Price Edge helps members save time and money by finding available prescription drug discounts for many non-specialty generic drugs.
    • Online Health Opportunities Center brings greater awareness to members of prescription drug cost-savings opportunities and clinical pharmacy programs available to them.
  • Added three new PPO plans to the IBX Dental portfolio, featuring an annual maximum rollover allowing members to carry over a portion of their unused annual maximum, helping them save on future expenses.

IBX large group clients will also see this new benefit enhancement:

  • Chubb Group Supplemental Medical Expense (GAP) insurance for members selecting high-deductible health plans, which helps offset their out-of-pocket expenses, like co-pays.

IBX small employer benefits include a new low-cost plan option:

  • A new IBX Keystone HMO Silver Proactive Basic plan — the most affordable Keystone HMO Proactive plan yet — offering access to the same robust tiered provider network as other popular Keystone HMO Proactive products.
