Delaware County offers several ice skating locations where you and your family can enjoy some memorable times on the ice, according to Cierra Williams and Micah Zimmerman for Philadelphia Magazine.
Energy Transfer Veterans Memorial Rink, Newtown Square
This outdoor ice rink is open through Feb. 1 for public skating. There’s also heated tents, food and drinks, a kids’ zone, and other activities.
Premier Orthopaedics IceWorks, Aston
This rink, known for its figure skating lessons, has public skating hours daily that vary by day and holiday.
The large rink includes an eatery. Admission is $12 to $15 for adults, with children four and under skating for free.
Skate rentals are $3, but if you show up on a Wednesday, the skates are free.
The Skatium offers lessons, open skate times, and clinics, with public skating hours weekly. Skating price is $8 for adults, $6 for children six and under, and $3 for seniors. There’s a skate rental fee of $3.
Springfield Ice Skating Rink, Springfield
This ice rink offers limited public skating hours from 8 to 9:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays and from 2 to 3:30 PM on Sundays. Admission is $8, with skate rentals $2.
