The 6abc Dunkin’ Thanksgiving Day Parade, a beloved Philadelphia tradition and the nation’s longest-running event of its kind, returned to Center City for its 106th year on Thursday, November 27, according to Visit Philadelphia.
The annual Thanksgiving procession showcased extravagant floats, charming balloons, musical performances, and a visit from Santa Claus and his wife to officially usher in the most wonderful time of the year.
The parade route started at 20th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard, proceeded eastbound on John F. Kennedy Boulevard toward 16th Street, headed northbound on 16th Street to Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and continued westbound on Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
This year saw numerous special guests and live performers, including the cast of Abbott Elementary, Sam Champion from Good Morning America, Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White from Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy host Ken Jennings, along with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse were also celebrating.
The parade also included a pit stop at Eakins Oval, with the “Dunkin’ Zone” offering free coffee samples and other Dunkin’ treats, as well as fun giveaways for all ages.
