Step back in time this December as General Washington’s daring Delaware River crossing is brought to life during two special reenactments at Washington Crossing Historic Park.
Hundreds of actors in Continental Army attire will be in attendance, bringing military drills, music and the river crossing itself to life.
The Friends of Washington Crossing Park is hosting two reenactments: the First Crossing on Sunday, Dec. 14, and the Christmas Day Crossing on Thursday, Dec. 25.
The First Crossing will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM, with the river crossing taking place at 1 PM.
Tickets are $9 for adults and $5 for children aged 5 to 11. The family rate, for two adults and two children under 18, is $25.
Attendees will have the chance to meet Washington and his soldiers, explore encampments, enjoy food and beverages, and more.
The Christmas Crossing will take place from 12 PM to 3 PM, with the boat crossing scheduled for 1 PM. The event is free.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive by 11:30 AM to secure the best view of the riverbank ceremony, which includes military processions, fife and drum performances, and an inspiring speech from General Washington himself.
