The Worthy Dessert, a delicious artisan bakery with a wide selection of fresh baked goods, is opening in Trolley Barn Public Market in Quakertown on Nov. 15, writes Ryan Kneller for WFMZ 69 News.
Owner and longtime pastry chef Sarah Principe gained popularity at Lehigh Valley farmers markets.
The bakery will offer a range of sweet and savory options to enjoy.
Customers can try muffins, Danishes, scones, giant cookies, cake pops, cupcakes, croissants and cream puffs.
Other options will include soft pretzels with dips, quiche tarts, sandwiches on fresh bread and iced teas.
“I am very eclectic with my baking,” said Principe. “You’ll see a lot of French and Italian desserts and baked goods. There will also be other ethnic pastries like conchas, which is Mexican sweet bread.”
Principe attended culinary school in San Francisco and has since worked in a variety of restaurants, such as Bolete in Salisbury Township.
“Because of my background in fine dining restaurants, I’ll also have a seasonal dessert menu where you could order a dessert that would be plated really pretty,” she said.
