A Mermaid Holiday Market Comes to Newtown Square on Sunday

Newtown Square welcomes its first-ever Mermaid Holiday Market bringing Jersey Shore retailers to town on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The first annual Mermaid Holiday Market comes to Newtown Square on Sunday, Nov. 16, bringing the best of Jersey Shore and local retailers together for a unique holiday shopping experience, reports AroundMainLine.

The free event, 11 AM to 3 PM, at the Newtown Business Center 4, 4695 West Chester Pike, comes from Kristin Manchin, a Newtown Square mother of three boys, and the founder of Raising Surfers Jewelry.

“Mermaid Market is a shoreline reunion for the ocean souls where local makers and coastal makers come together. Bringing the magic of the shore to our inland town— heavily curated with intention — it is a day to support dreams and connections,” Manchin said.

More than 20 vendors will be there, along with live music from the husband-and-wife duo Rad and Kell, food, face painting, mermaid braiding, and more.

Featured vendors include At Home with Elm, Blue Bottle Art, Bowfish Studios, Delco Beads, Grow Beautiful My Darling, Hey Goodfolk, Hightide Studios, Jersey Draft, Kel’s Kitchen, Lambert & Hope, Le Surf Bungalow, Levi & Hayes, Little Looms Preloved, MB Woodworking, Mermaid Swirl, Ryb and Z, Salt Town Co, SAS Bamboo, Shop B. Rose, Tide + Treasure, and Where’s Waverly.
