Irish-based design and construction leader PM Group is making a bigger investment in Montco, writes Justin Heinze for the Patch.
The company announced it will put $495,000 into its Conshohocken offices at 300 Barr Harbor Drive, creating 48 new jobs while retaining its current workforce.
The expansion strengthens Conshohocken’s role in the region’s booming life sciences sector. New positions will include engineers, architects, and project managers, each carrying an average annual salary of $180,000.
“We’re thrilled that a global powerhouse like the PM Group has chosen to expand in Pennsylvania,” said Rick Siger, Pennsylvania’s Secretary of Community and Economic Development. He noted that the project underscores Southeastern Pennsylvania’s place as a national life sciences hub and ties directly into the state’s 10-year economic development plan.
To support the growth, PM Group will receive a $100,000 Pennsylvania First grant and a $50,000 Webnet PA grant, with funds earmarked for worker training. State officials, including Siger, recently traveled to Ireland to promote international business ties—a strategy that’s paying off, as more than 380 Irish companies now operate in Pennsylvania.
The Conshohocken expansion adds to Montco’s growing reputation as a magnet for global companies choosing to invest in its workforce and community.
